Tell me about yourself…

I’ve been designing professionally for well over 6 years now. Yet as I move my eyes between my webcam and the face of the dude on my screen, I stutter and stammer and somehow wind up unable to deliver a cohesive response.

Why? I have no idea.

What is it that’s so daunting, or mind-freezing about the question?

Could it be because I don’t know who tf I am? But don’t I?

I know I am a designer. A good one. Hell, A great one! I know I studied Computer Science in the university. I know I have worked on hundreds of design projects across multiple fields. I know I love brainstorming ideas, I know design principles, and my creative process, and I am an excellent cross-functional team player, and bla bla bla.

But is that who I actually am? On a deeper than surface level, who is Precious?

Hold up, hold up.

What business do I have thinking about the question from an exaltedly philosophical point of view when the dude is just trying to know if he should hire me or not?

Should I even be writing about my cognitive flaws on the internet?

I think not.

But hey, it would be soooo cool to cringe my eyes out reading this 5 years from now. So why the hell not?
